The Situation:

Symmetry Software, a leader in payroll related software applications for the Internet and Corporate Intranets, was searching for a way to easily customize its software solutions for companies’ payroll departments. All too often, Symmetry would spend a significant amount of time demonstrating to prospective companies the functions of its paycheck modeling and withholding form processing, while still not being able to communicate all the benefits and features. They were in need of a way to streamline its demos and cut down on the amount of time needed to explain the product.

The Solution:

Symmetry had researched and tried some collaboration solutions on the market, but had little success, as these solutions were either too expensive or didn’t have the bandwidth available to support Symmetry’s demand .

Over a year ago, Symmetry implemented Linkitivity’s WebDemo, a real-time, Web-conferencing server software tool that enables businesses to collaborate with their customers using only an Internet browser and a Web connection.

Companies had to go through a series of steps in order to view the product online, click through the Web site based on the leader’s instructions, and by that point, people were bored and confused. Since the implementation of WebDemo, Symmetry has seen a significant increase in sales, as they have had more time to reach more companies. In addition, existing customers have seen more use of Symmetry’s payroll tools, since companies are now better equipped to assist employees on the products.

“WebDemo has become an integral part of our sales process,” stated Tresnak. “Our team utilizes it to educate potential clients on the use of our products in virtual meetings that have a face-to-face feel.”
