Teleflex Incorporated Boosts Productivity With Linktivity's WebDemo™ And WebInteractive™

The Situation:

Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX), a chief, global supplier of engineered products, had been searching for a conferencing solution that would streamline company-wide training and develop a cohesive sales force. With offices around the globe from Mexico to Germany to Asia, Teleflex was spending a lot of time and resources on travel to conduct sales meetings and training and needed a solution so they could reallocate these resources to other areas of the company.

Teleflex had used some Web-based products on the market but ideally wanted to find a more cost-effective, easy-to-use system. Through references in the industry, Teleflex was introduced to Linktivity, a leading provider of server-based communications and control products that enable person-to-person interactions through a browser window.

The Solution

In addition to all of Teleflex's criteria for a product, it also wanted the solution to be in-house, in order to keep control of its business and save on third-party costs, which Linktivity could provide. Teleflex installed Linkitivity's WebDemo, a real-time, Web-conferencing server software tool that enables businesses to collaborate with their customers and employees using only an Internet browser and a Web connection, and Linktivity's WebInteractive, a secure, premise-based support and collaboration software. Over the past year, Teleflex has been using Linktivity's software solutions and has had tremendous success.

"WebDemo and WebInteractive were the perfect fit, providing all the tools necessary to meet our needs," stated Lisa Cosgrove, Global IT for Teleflex. "WebInteractive and WebDemo have been and will continue to be essential tools in conducting company training. The software solutions have eliminated a vast amount of travel and in turn have made us much more effective in our business."

The Results:

Before implementing WebInteractive and WebDemo, nearly all sales and training meetings were face-to-face. By using WebInteractive, Teleflex sales teams can now more rapidly identify issues and implement strategic changes.. With WebDemo, the teams can hold regular training sessions, which allow employees to be up-to-date with the latest products and advances from Teleflex.

"We are very pleased with both WebDemo and WebInteractive and will continue to take advantage of the ways in which they have improved the capabilities and breadth of our business," stated Cosgrove. "Everyday we discover new uses for these innovative products and will continue to use the solutions to satisfy more and more of our needs."
